PX3: Prix de la Photographie Paris

Sharing the Art of Dance Photography with the larger art world

Why PX3 ?

What I appreciate about juried shows is that they’re not just open calls—they’re curated. A juror (or panel of jurors) thoughtfully reviews each piece and decides what belongs in the exhibit. That process brings a sense of intentionality and artistic merit to every selection.

There are a lot of photo competitions out there—but PX3 stands out for a few simple reasons. The jury is international and world-class: curators, editors, and art directors from across Europe and beyond. They aren’t just looking at technique—they’re looking for voice, meaning, and creative intent.

Why It Matters

Your work is seen alongside images from across the globe, judged by people who shape the industry. And for those who make it through, there’s the thrill of having your image exhibited in Paris—the creative heart of Europe—and published in the PX3 Annual Book. No matter what happens, you’re putting your work in front of people who know what to look for and why it matters.

PX3 is open to professionals, students, and passionate non-professionals alike. You can submit single images or a small series—there’s no need for a big portfolio or a massive reputation. Just strong, honest work.

For dancers and dance photographers, it’s a space where movement, emotion, and artistry have a genuine opportunity to be recognized at the highest levels.
