International Imaging Competition (IIC)

Advancing creativity on the world stage

Andrew Bowen Studios is proud to have so many dancers represented in our successes at IIC.

What is the International Imaging Competition?

The International Imaging Competition (IIC), hosted by Master Photographers International (MPI), stands among the premier photographic competitions worldwide. Now entering its 11th year in 2026 under new leadership, the IIC continues to attract top talent from over 80 countries, offering a platform for photographers to challenge themselves and be celebrated at the highest level.

What drew me to IIC was its commitment to fostering photographic excellence across diverse categoriesβ€”and the unique inclusion of a dedicated section for dance photography. This competition offers not only a chance to compete but also to receive detailed, constructive feedback from an international panel of judges.

Why It Matters

Competing in IIC has been instrumental in refining my work. The detailed feedback from an international panel of judges offers invaluable insight into both technical execution and artistic vision. More importantly, the IIC’s commitment to a dance photography class has been particularly valuable.

An award at IIC is more than a medal; it’s a recognition that your images resonate beyond borders and photographic traditionsβ€”celebrating the unique movement, emotion, and individuality dancers bring to every session.

I’m grateful to MPI and IIC for creating an educational space that allows us to evaluate the art we create. The feedback is invaluable, and having categories for images with different vibes allows for more varied art to be celebrated.
