2025 International Photographic Competition
Andrew Bowen Studios is honored by peers and jurors for high-quality photography. Greensboro, NC —Photographs created by Andrew Bowen have recently been accepted as a finalist in the Professional Photographers of America’s 2025 International Photographic Competition.
Bowen’s work with dancers is one of the 32 images in the Natural Portrait, HS Seniors, and Group Portrait categories that will move on as finalists in the upcoming photo competition at Imaging USA in Dallas, Texas—February 2-4, 2025. Imaging USA is one of the largest annual conventions and expos for professional photographers.
A total of 2,018 finalist images across 16 image categories will be judged in live head-to-head rounds by a panel of eminent jurors from across the United States. With each round the images are culled by half until a single Diamond Photograph is named. The category winners then go head to head to name the overall winner of the competition — the Grand Imaging Award.
“Intertwined”, “A Little Bit Country and a Little Bit Ballet”, and “Contemporary Dance Avalanche” by Bowen will be on display at the International Photographic Exhibition alongside other top photographic works from the competition.
Founded in 1868, Professional Photographers of America (PPA) is the largest and longest-standing nonprofit photography trade association. It currently helps 35,000 professionals elevate their craft and grow their business with resources, protection, and education.
Our IPC Story
Back into the fray. I wasn’t sure I’d be writing this post this time last year. The carnival atmosphere of the IPC judging at Imaging USA is infectious. Even though there is no feedback for improvement, competing against and cheering for your fellow photographers is fun. So, our three images will go head-to-head with other incredible photographers from different points of view and with various subject matter at the 2025 International Photographic Competition in Texas. Happiness is ensured by just enjoying the journey.
