2025 International Photographic Competition
I was ecstatic to have images in three categories be designated as finalists in the 2025 International Photographic Competition (IPC) hosted by Professional Photographers of America. The final competition, styled as a head-to-head randomized bracket competition, was help in Grapevine, Texas, at the annual Imaging USA convention on February 3, 2025.
I am thrilled to announce that two images received Bronze awards in the High School Senior, and Family/Group Portrait categories. These were A Little Bit Country and a Little Bit Ballet”, and “Contemporary Dance Avalanche”. The third image, “Intertwined”, received a Gold Award in the Natural Portrait category!
As an added bonus, “Intertwined” was selected to represent Team USA in the World Photographic Cup. It has already been judged as a top-10 image in its category with the final results due out March 20, 2025.
Founded in 1868, Professional Photographers of America (PPA) is the largest and longest-standing nonprofit photography trade association. It currently helps 35,000 professionals elevate their craft and grow their business with resources, protection, and education.
Our IPC Story
Back into the fray. I wasn’t sure I’d be writing this post this time last year. The carnival atmosphere of the IPC judging at Imaging USA is infectious. Even though there is no feedback for improvement, competing against and cheering for your fellow photographers is fun. So, our three images went head-to-head with other incredible photographers from different points of view and with various subject matter at the 2025 International Photographic Competition in Texas. Happiness was ensured by just enjoying the journey.
