2024 PPNC Print Competition
The 2024 PPNC Print Compeition is complete and all of my images received merits, including 4 images scoring over 85 (with one scoring a 90).
In the final head-to-head judging our images brought home:
- First Place Portrait: Groups
- First Place Portrait: Adult
- Third Place Portrait: Groups
- Third Place Portrait: High School Seniors
- Honorable Mention Portrait: Children
- Honorable Mention Portrait: Groups
- Honorable Mention Fine Art / Illustrative
- Judges Choice
All in all, it was an exception year for our dancers and their art.
About PPNC
The PPNC Print Competition is one of the premier state-level competitions in the PPA system. Over 300 images were submitted and judged by a panel of 5 trained PPA jurors. The first phase is the scoring, where each image is judged individually and given a numerical score. All 11 images submitted earned their merit designation by scoring over 80. The second round takes all merit images in a category (such as High School Seniors), and the judge picks their favorite images based on much more subjective criteria. The top-scoring images are not necessarily the top images. As they say, any given Sunday.
