2023 NC Artist Exhibition

The NC Artist Exhibition is a production of the Raleigh Fine Arts Society (RFAS) and was hosted at the Contemporary Art Museum in Raleigh (CAM). This image, “Taking the High Road,” was one of 79 pieces of art selected by the jury and displayed as a 20×24″ metal print. We are thrilled to say that someone loved it so much that they bought it, and it is now part of their home.

About the Photograph

This photograph was created in 2022 as part of a creative retreat with The Pluck Project, the contemporary BFA Dance cohort’s senior project. The dancer is Amaya Lashaye.

History of the Exhibition:

From a small exhibition in 1964, the RFAS North Carolina Artists Exhibition has evolved to become the state’s largest annual all-media juried exhibition. This juried exhibition allows artists to present their works before renowned art professionals, aficionados, and potential buyers. In its 50-year history, thousands of North Carolina artists’ creative work has been celebrated in the North Carolina community.

About Raleigh Fine Arts Society:

The role of The Raleigh Fine Arts Society (RFAS) today remains as it has since its inception: To cultivate, promote, and engage in the arts. That means identifying, supporting, and recognizing creative people and helping ensure their work is seen, heard, and appreciated.

This organization has established and nurtured the essential links among those who support these pursuits, those who enjoy them, and those whose hands, hearts, and minds create them.

About Fine Art Photography

The goal of Andrew Bowen Studios is to help artists to thrive. When a Fine Art Photo sells, 20% of the net proceeds go to the dancer to support their career.
