International Visionography Awards (IV)
Exploring the art of visual storytelling on the world stage
What are the International Visionography Awards?
The International Visionography Awards (IVA) is a distinctive global competition designed for photographers and digital artists who want to explore storytelling, visual narrative, and fine art expression. Hosted by Master Photographers International (MPI)—the same organization behind the International Imaging Competition—the IVA places a special emphasis on the power of images to convey emotion, movement, and meaning.
The 2024 IVA was only the second year of the competition, yet it quickly gained recognition for encouraging artists to push creative boundaries in both single images and cohesive stories. Categories include Composite Art, Painted Art, Photographic Art, Software Generated Art, and Stories—a unique format inviting artists to weave four images into a powerful visual narrative.
Why It Matters
What makes the IVA especially meaningful is its celebration of storytelling in all its forms. For dance photography, where movement and narrative are inextricably linked, this competition offers a unique opportunity to honor the artistry of dancers not just as subjects, but as central characters in a visual narrative. An award here is a testament to the creative dance retreat process, recognizing the emotion, power, and individuality expressed in every leap, gesture, and pause.
